Suzuki recently recalled the Celerio in the UK, following the vehicle’s failure during an emergency braking test by Autocar UK last month. The company carried out an immediate investigation and suspended sales of the Celerio in the UK.
Now, Suzuki has revealed that it is in a position to provide further information to its customers on the braking fiasco. According to the brand, the recall was issued over a possible fault in the brake pedal release mechanism. A rectification is currently being implemented and delivery of modified brake components is expected in the coming weeks.
All dealers in the UK were notified to directly contact customers who had recently taken delivery of the affected vehicle. Suzuki has now announced that it expects to return vehicles to customers as soon as possible.
