Suzuki might discontinue the Grand Vitara and the Alto in the European markets. A report in a publication claims that this might happen by year end.
While it is certain that the Alto will be replaced by the new Celerio when it goes on sale in Europe, replacement for the Grand Vitara is not yet confirmed. The report also claims that Suzuki has nothing in the pipeline to replace the Grand Vitara with. This also means that Suzuki will concentrate more on the SX4 S-Cross.
Nevertheless, it seems like Suzuki doesn’t want to give away the Vitara name as it released teaser images of its new compact SUV that will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show this year.
We are not certain if Suzuki will discontinue both these products in India, but we know that the SX4 S-Cross is coming here. Although there is no news around it, we also expect the new compact SUV from Suzuki to enter our market. This compact crossover might be their answer to the Ford EcoSport.
