Nissan Motor India Private Ltd announced the appointment of Mr. Sunil Rekhi as Deputy Chief Financial Officer. A Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, A. F. Ferguson & Co., Sunil Rekhi has completed his graduation in Commerce Hons. from University of Delhi.
He will support the finance operations of the corporate office at NMIPL and at the plant at RNAIPL. Initially he will be responsible for taxation, customs, treasury and accounting besides controlling the finance operations management on a regular basis before moving on to greater responsibilities of reporting and budgeting. He will be based in Chennai at RNAIPL - the company’s vehicle manufacturing facility at Oragadam, near Chennai.

Prior to joining Nissan India, Sunil Rekhi had worked as the VP Finance, Chief Financial Officer & Director of General Motors since 2005. Before joining General Motors, he worked as CFO & Director, India Operations at BlueScope Steel Building Solutions Pvt. Ltd., prior to that he was the Head of Finance & Accounts and also held the position of Operational Head of Sales at Skoda Auto India Pvt. Ltd. He also worked in different capacities with NIIT Ltd, Climate Systems India Private Ltd. - a subsidiary of Ford Motor Co. - and DCM Shriram Industries in his early years.
Sunil Rekhi who was previously the CFO at General Motors based in Gurgaon will report to Mr. Richard Ito - Chief Financial Officer for Nissan Motor India and Renault Nissan Automotive India Private Ltd
