Subaru has released some teaser images of the latest iteration of the Forester STI before its world premiere scheduled on November 25. This follows the showcasing of the concept version of the car last month.
The teaser images give us a fair idea about the latest Forester STI that resembles the STI tS concept. While it sports DRLs on its fascia, this latest version comes with a body cladding and stands tall on larger alloys, making it look huge and aggressive. Braking power will come from larger brakes with calipers that get the STI badging. We can expect a lot of touches of red colour in the exterior and interior as well.
The Subaru Forester STI is expected to be powered by the EJ257 2.5-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged boxer engine from the Subaru WRX STI. This mill churns out 296bhp of power and 407Nm of torque and comes paired to a six-speed manual gearbox.
Fans and enthusiasts have been asking for more about the car. We will get more details and pictures as the debut date approaches. The Forester STI can be dated back to 1997 when it was first introduced globally. It has been a while since the Forester was sold in India through General Motors with the Chevrolet branding. However, ever since GM stopped having an ownership stake in Subaru's company, the sales of the Forester stopped in India.
