It’s taken Mercedes-Benz just seven months to sell one million cars worldwide in 2015 and the biggest contributor to this figure is the latest generation C-Class. The carmaker has revealed that it has recorded strong sales for the latest-generation C-Class sedan and the estate.
Mercedes sold 149,753 vehicles to customers in July, with a total of 1,048,178 units shipped worldwide in the first seven months of the year. Around a quarter of them are the C-Class sedan and estate models.
However, it’s not just their newest premium mid-size sedan, but the fact that Mercedes has done well in markets like Europe and China, which has allowed the brand to hit the magical one million sales mark.
In Europe, Mercedes sold 457,468 vehicles in the first seven months of the year, up by 11.3 per cent over the previous year. Meanwhile, In China, 29,540 vehicles were sold in July, representing an increase of 41.5 per cent compared with the same month of last year.
