Maybe the Ultimate Aero TT doesn't deserve such a cheesy headline - after all, there's nothing frivolous about 1300bhp feeding the rear wheels. You read that right - Shelby SuperCars, now SSC North America, has decided that the last five examples will be the quickest, most powerful versions of the car.
They're planning to do that by giving the Aero TT the powerplant from the Tuatara, its successor - a twin-turbocharged 6.9-litre unit. Packaged along with it will be a seven-speed gearbox operated by paddle shifts, a new cooling system, fuel delivery system and brakes all taken from the Tuatara. The company promises the car will have a 44/56 front/rear weight distribution and other modern features like an air-lift system to raise the car for speed bumps, a reverse camera and a navigation system. What we find most interesting is the most exclusive option: the paint schemes chosen by the lucky (and deep-pocketed) customers that will receive the five Ultimate Aero XTs will never be used by the company again.
Prices for the Ultimate Aero XT hasn't been released, but hey, you know what they say - if you have to ask...
