SSC or Shelby Super Cars made headlines with its Ultimate Aero which held the title of the most powerful production car in the world hitting an insane 412kmph but it was beaten by the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.
To take the mantle ahead, SSC showed its Tuatara concept way back in 2011. But just recently SSC released a teaser which looked like the production version of the much touted Tuatara. Should the car really come into existence, it is expected to be powered by a 7.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 delivering 1350bhp. To be built in partnership with Nelson Racing Engines, the mighty motor is said to see the Tuatara deliver a 0-100kmph time of just 2.5 seconds and a top speed of over 440kmph.
The Tuatara will face a barrage of hypercar competition on its arrival with the likes of the mental Koenigsegg Agera RS and the Bugatti Chiron churning out record breaking numbers. If that wasn’t enough others like Apollo, Hennessey and Zenvo are also getting out some monster machines. Let the speed wars begin!
