The Ssanyong Rodius has been spotted in India for the first time. The car was parked at the Mahindra’s factory in Mumbai where its pictures were taken by a Team-Bhp member. The vehicle wasn’t camouflaged and sports a white MH-46 licence plate. It is likely that the car is here is for the research and development as well as full-fledged road testing and that means that we might see it on our roads soon.
The car is also known as the Korando Turismo in some other markets and looks like a mixture of an AWD crossover and big MPV. The 11-seater premium car which the company prefers to call a ‘Multi Leisure vehicle’ boasts four rows of seats including folding options on the second and third row.
The Ssanyong Rodius is powered by 2.0-litre e-XDi200 diesel engine that churns out 155bhp of power and 360Nm of torque. The engine is mated to 6-speed manual gearbox which sends power to all four wheels through a four wheel drive system.
The company hasn’t disclosed any information about the car or whether it will be launched in India. However, Anand Mahindra, Chairman and MD of Mahindra group had tweeted about the vehicle in February and had indicated that he was excited about its potential for the Indian market.
