Ssangyong has unveiled yet another concept utility vehicle at the Seoul Motor Show. This one is called the LIV-1 – which stands for Limitless Interface Vehicle. The new concept is bigger than the Rexton and has a fully-electronic all-wheel-drive system that is controlled via – an interface.
The concept has a total of five displays (another reason to call to LIV) – 10-inch standard monitor as part of center console, 7-inch display units in the headrests along with digital dash cluster with Special Sense that can be arranged as per comfort of the driver. Other features include an automated side step, nano-tube glassware to remove frost quickly and Safe Way to actively prevent collisions in blind spots.
The company has not provided any details of the powertrain, as this is purely a concept at this moment. There is a possibility that Ssangyong may bring this to production in a while to position it between the Rexton and Rodius. Of course the production version will be mellower and few of the aggressive creases will disappear, as will the radical front. Mahindra will certainly bring this model to India after global launch as a premium SUV, but that will take another couple of years.
