Do you want the newest DB10 Bond car? Well, there is only one available in the world and it will be auctioned off for charity. There is a comparatively cheaper and more accessible option coming up, which is the DB11. Here are some spy pictures of the 2016 Aston Martin DB11.
The DB11 will be the DB9 successor, the skip in number was the Bond film DB10. When Aston Martin had announced a technical partnership with AMG back in 2013, everyone was left reasoning that newer generation Astons will have AMG power plants. It is sure AMG will provide engines and electronic components for future Astons but, Aston’s newest teaser has left us wondering. The Aston Martin teaser included a few video shots and sound clips of their twin-turbo V12. The 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 could mean Aston Martin will continue the 12-cylinder tradition.
Coming back to the spy shots, they show design influences from the DB10 and the DBX crossover, unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The DB11 will ride on an evolved version of Aston's VH aluminium chassis, which means the car will have different proportions. The wider front grille and newly designed lip are also evident.
To get with the times, the DB11 will be significantly lighter and feature the ZF-sourced eight-speed automatic that Aston recently added to the Vantage and Rapide range. The insides will also get modernised with in-car technology and infotainment. The DB11 will also feature an advanced screen with Aston-specific touches.
The Aston Martin DB11 could be displayed at the Geneva Motor Show in March, and hit the market sometime this year.
