Nissan has launched a special edition of the Sunny for Rs 8.6 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The special edition Sunny was unveiled via nationwide advertisement in the Times of India. It features mostly subtle cosmetic changes both inside and outside the car.
The special edition of Sunny gets a rear parking camera, a spoiler and extra chrome treatment for the logo just below spoiler. The inside is pretty much the same as the base XV petrol/ diesel variant save for leather seats and a 2-DIN touchscreen Kenwood music system, which by the look of it doubles up as the screen for the rear camera. Nissan has also included satellite navigation and Bluetooth connectivity as a part of the deal.
The special edition Sunny will continued to be powered by the 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 99bhp and 134Nm of torque and the 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine that produces 85bhp and 200Nm of torque.
Both mills are mated to five-speed manual with the option of an X-tronic CVT automatic gearbox (launched with the Scala) to be made available within the next few months. According to reports, the special edition Sunny will go on sale this month.
