Skoda has announced a new special edition Yeti based for the UK market that will be on sale starting July 22. The version will have additional equipment worth 2,250 GBP over the standard trim, but at no extra cost.
Priced for 18,640 GBP (Rs 17 lakh before taxes), the Skoda Yeti Adventure Edition comes in only two exterior colors, Candy White or Brilliant Silver Metallic, both of which have received a black roof with silver rails. The vehicle can be further distinguished by its black body accents and 17-inch black-and-chrome “Matterhorn” alloy wheels.
Inside, changes consist of unique silver stitching and tyre print design for the upholstery, Amundsen+ satellite navigation, DAB digital radio, Bluetooth connectivity and a multi-function steering wheel. Under the hood, the Yeti Adventure can be ordered in two and four-wheel drive with manual transmission only and a choice of two 2.0-liter TDI engines, a 110bhp version for the two-wheel drive models and a 140bhp variant for the all-wheel drive vehicles.
Currently, Skoda has not revealed plans for launching this special edition in other markets, and we at CarWale feel that the Indian market will miss out on this limited version of the Yeti despite Skoda struggling to get a hold on the SUV market
