The Vision S Concept from Skoda is all set for its India debut next year. Post launch, the SUV will be named as either Kodiaq or Kodiak. The premium SUV will be offered in five and seven-seat options.
Skoda had showcased the Vision S plug-in hybrid concept at the Geneva motor show. But, this model is not expected to debut in India. The company will launch the Vision S with four-cylinder petrol and diesel engine options in India, which will come mated to a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DSG automatic unit.
Speaking of the interiors, the Vision S will get a premium and rich upholstery. The central console will be adorned with 12-inch digital instrument panel and a vertically aligned 8-inch screen. As for the exteriors, the vehicle will get higher positioned headlamps infused with LED technology, unique signature daytime running lights and a wide trapezoid grille. The sporty appeal looks complete with LED rear lights made from multifaceted cut crystal glass, narrow rear window and a long rear spoiler.
The upcoming Skoda Vision S will emerge as a strong competitor against the Toyota Fortuner, Volkswagen Tiguan, Hyundai Santa Fe and the Ford Endeavour in India. The pricing aspect is not known for now, but it is believed that the Vision S aka Kodiaq or Kodiak will be priced under Rs 30 lakh.
