The India-bound Skoda Kodiaq has just received a sporty new variant in the form of the Kodiaq Sportline. To be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March, this new variant will be available with a choice of two petrol and two diesel engine options.
On the outside, the radiator grille, roof rails, wing mirror housings and side window trims all come in black while the rear window and rear side windows are tinted. The rear is enhanced by a narrow, silver-colored trim below the bumper. The protective side trims of the Sportline are body-colored. It comes with 19-inch alloy wheels in a special new design as standard. Furthermore, it bears a small badge with the model designation on the front wing.
The Sportline variant is based on the SE trim. Additionally, it is equipped with alcantara sports seats with silver-coloured stitching. The multifunction display includes representation of G-forces, the turbocharging pressure, the current engine output and the temperature of the oil and coolant. The array of standard equipment includes Driving Mode Select (Normal, Sport, Eco, Individual, Comfort, Snow), electronically adjustable and foldable wing mirrors, rear-view mirror with rain sensor, LED ambient lighting and lots more.
The Sportline is equipped with Skoda’s new range of infotainment systems. The touch displays feature a glass design (except for the standard Swing sound system). The top-of-the-range version, the Columbus navigation system has a 9.2-inch screen and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
Under the hood, there is a choice of two petrol and two diesel engine options – a 1.4 TSI 150bhp 4×4, 2.0 TSI 180bhp 4×4, 2.0 TDI 150bhp 4×4 and 2.0 TDI 190bhp 4×4.
The Kodiaq Sportline will be presented for the first time at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. The motor show will be open to the public from 9 to 19 March 2017.
