Skoda UK has just added a bit of sportiness to the Superb range with the introduction of a new variant called SportLine. Available as an estate or sedan, the new Superb SportLine features an enhanced design both inside out.
On the outside, this newfound sportiness is highlighted by unique 19-inch alloy wheels, different bumpers and black gloss trim treatment on the grille, wing mirrors, window surrounds and rear spoiler. The estate model, meanwhile, features black gloss roof rails and a body-coloured spoiler.
Inside, the Superb SportLine features a new three-spoke multifunction steering wheel with silver stitching, alcantara sports seats, LED ambient lighting, carbon dashboard trim, aluminium pedals and black headlining. Its segment-leading practicality remains, with a 625-litre boot space (660-litres for the estate) and generous passenger space.
Standard features on the Superb SportLine include bi-xenon headlights, navigation, rear parking sensors, drive mode select, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry and cruise control. A sports chassis lowers the car’s ride height by 15mm, and an XDS electronic differentialalso ensures sharper handling.
The Superb SportLine is available in three petrol and two diesel engines, with the option of four-wheel drive and six-speed DSG automatic gearbox. The range-topping 2-litre TSI 280bhp model can sprint from 0-100kmph in just 5.8 seconds.
Skoda has revealed the Superb SportLine will be available to order in the UK from July onwards, with prices starting from £26,490 (Rs 23.94 lakh).
