Skoda India is now offering the Laura 1.8 TSI with a dual clutch DSG seven-speed automatic in place of the six-speed automatic transmission and has now updated the specs on its official website. This gearbox has been made available on the Ambition variant and is priced Rs one lakh higher the manual transmission variant.
The other changes to this variant are larger tyres as well as alloy-wheels and an increased fuel efficiency of 14.6kmpl over the manual variant (13.4kmpl), despite the fact that it is also 20kgs heavier than its manual counterpart.
The Laura 1.8 TSI is powered by a 1.8-litre petrol engine that produces 160bhp and 250Nm of torque. The dual-clutch seven-speed box is the best AT in the segment – it will also be offered with the all-new Octavia coming later this year.
