Skoda Auto India will launch the Laura RS (Rally Sport) in India. The Czech-based manufacturer had recently face lifted its Laura and bought a new version of its Superb.
The Laura will probably be powered with a 200bhp 2.0-litre TSI engine and 170bhp 2.0-litre TDI engine. This TDI engine is the same block used in the Superb, but it produces more power than the Superb.
The Laura RS launch is scheduled most likely after the Skoda Yeti’s launch. Currently, Skoda sells the Octavia RS, which has a 1.8-litre TSI engine. The Laura RS to be launched is sold as the Octavia RS in the international market.
