- Increment in prices by up to two per cent
- Applicable to all cars across Skoda's model range
- Change in prices will be effective from 1 January 2019
- Skoda Finance introduces ‘Buy Now and Pay in 2020’ campaign
Skoda Auto India today announced that it will increase prices of its models by up to two per cent from January 2019. This is to partially offset the impact of rising input costs.
There are frequent variations in the input costs including commodity prices and freight charges. The carmaker has still tried to minimise the impact on its customers by absorbing a huge part of these incremental costs and capping the increment in prices to two per cent. Updated variant-wise prices will be available at all Skoda dealerships in the New Year.
Many manufacturers including Isuzu, Volkswagen, Toyota etc. have already announced that they will hike prices of cars in early 2018. Likewise, we can expect more manufacturers to increase prices making cars more expensive to buy.
Nonetheless, prospective Skoda car buyers can avail a new scheme that the carmaker has introduced. There's a ‘Buy Now and Pay in 2020’ campaign formulated through Skoda Finance, which includes a twelve month EMI holiday program. Customers can also opt for schemes like 100 per cent on-road financing, special EMI packages and even interest rates starting from 8.99 per cent. Furthermore, there are benefits ranging from Rs 60,000 to Rs 1,00,000 as well.
