Now there is no denying the fact that we love the Octy. It looks good, has plenty of space and equipment and has some brilliant powertrains. But there is also no denying the fact that the D-segment has come down to a crawl. In a bid to garner some attention and bump up sales, Skoda will be launching a Limited Black Edition Octavia.
The variant will only be available in top end variants of both petrol and diesel. Differentiating the car will be a lot of blacked out components like the alloys, wing mirrors, front grille and a rear spoiler. Interiors might remain identical to the Style Plus variant but you can expect more black in the seat covers. Powering the Black Edition will be the same 180bhp 1.8 TSI petrol and the 145bhp 2.0 litre diesel with manual and DSG gearbox.
The Black Edition will be limited to 100 units and is expected to hold a premium of Rs. 20,000 – 30,000 over the standard Style Plus variant which is priced at Rs 21.5 lakh for the petrol and Rs 23.1 lakh for the diesel (ex-showroom Delhi).
