- Inspired by the Vision RS Concept
- Will be underpinned by the Volkswagen Group's MQB A0 platform
Skoda has been on a spree of teasers lately and now released a latest teaser of what is supposed to be a future compact model, basically the next-gen Rapid Spaceback. The teaser images shows the side profile of the upcoming car which seems to be heavily inspired by the Vision RS Concept shown at the Paris Motor Show.
Skoda has confirmed the new model will be a five-door vehicle, and be underpinned by the Volkswagen Group's MQB A0 platform, which serves as the basis of compact models like the Seat Ibiza and Volkswagen Polo. It's the first Skoda model line to utilise the compact vehicle platform, which the company claims to combine compact exterior dimensions and generous interior space, along with the use of numerous innovative assistance systems.
According to Skoda, the brand new model will make its public debut before the end of 2018.
