Ahead of its official launch sometime soon, the Skoda Superb Sportline has been spotted in production ready avatar in India. It is believed that the Skoda Sportline will be positioned between the Style and the Lauren & Klement variants. Changes will be limited to cosmetic and feature upgrades while mechanically it will continue to be powered by existing powertrain options.
Based on what can be seen, the Sportline variant will feature a black grille and smoked headlamps. The variant also gets black ORVMs, lip spoiler and dual-tone rear bumper. The vehicle further gets 19-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels and will also be offered with a new ‘corrida red' paint scheme which will be offered exclusively on the new variant.
As for the interior, the Superb Sportline will get a black interior with faux carbon fibre trim, a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel and twin-dial instrument cluster. The centre console gets a large touchscreen infotainment system. The vehicle also gets aluminium pedals, while the seats are likely to get Alcantara inserts with fixed headrests.
Under the hood, the vehicle will continue to be powered by the existing 1.8-litre turbocharged petrol and a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine options. Transmission options will include six-speed manual, six-speed DSG and a seven-speed DSG option.
