Skoda UK has launched the Sport Line Plus trim of the Superb on special customer demands. It is positioned above the already available Sport Line and gets a host of equipment and creature comfort as standard.
The Sport Line Plus gets a Columbus satellite navigations system integrated into a 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system as standard. It also comes with integrated Wi-Fi, heated front seats, blind spot detection, electronic boot opening and a progressive dynamic steering system as a standard fitment. The cabin also gets a multifunction steering wheel with silver stitching, quilted Alcantara sports seats, LED ambient lighting, carbon dashboard trim, aluminium pedals and black headlining.
The Czech carmaker has also added stylish 19-inch Anthracite Vega wheels with sports bumper to the package. A gloss finish treatment has been given to the grille, wing mirrors and window surround. The hatch version has a rear black spoiler while the estate has black gloss roof rails and a body-coloured spoiler. The standard kit list also includes Bi-Xenon headlights, front and rear parking sensors, Drive Mode Select, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry, cruise control and adjustable ride height.
As with the Sport Line, the Plus trim can be had with a choice of three petrol and two diesel engines with the option of four-wheel drive and six-speed DSG automatic gearbox. The range-topping 2.0-litre TSI puts out 280bhp while the 2.0-litre TDI churns out 150bhp.
Skoda has priced the Sport Line Plus trim at £29,330 for the hatch version and £30,645 for the Estate. Given that the Superb is a flagship sedan from the carmaker, we expect the features and trims from the Sport Line Plus variant to be offered in India as well. However, that will happen sometime later when the Superb is due for an update.
