- New entry-level trim based on the Style trim
- Offered with petrol engine and manual gearbox
Skoda India has launched the entry-level trim of their flagship sedan, the Superb, for a price tag of Rs 23.49 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi. Called the Corporate Edition, it is based on the previous entry-level Style trim of the luxury saloon.
Although cheaper than the Style by at least 2 lakhs, the Corporate Edition gets almost all the features of the Style trim. It gets the xenon headlamps, beige leather upholstery and electric driver seat along with power mirrors, touchscreen display and steering mounted audio controls along with cruise control. It also gets the panoramic sunroof and hence, doesn’t actually miss out on any of the features of the Style trim. Just so you know, you can buy it in any colour as long as it is white.
The Skoda Superb Corporate Edition is powered by a 1.8-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine which develops 177bhp of power and 320Nm of torque. It is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox option and comes with ABS, EBD and ESP amongst other safety features like ISOFIX child-seat mounts, rear-view camera with parking sensors and of course airbags.
The Superb competes against the Toyota Camry and the Volkswagen Passat in the premium sedan segment.
