Skoda releases second teaser image for Octavia vRS

Skoda has released a second teaser image for the Octavia vRS. The image shows the vRS badge on the grille of the new car. The previous image showed the Octavia vRS standing next to the standard 2013 Octavia. The cover had an announcement written on it saying that the Octavia vRS will make it’s during the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed that will be held in the UK in July. 

The Octavia vRS will get a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine which will produce around 200bhp. There is also expected to be a turbo diesel engine which will produce around 177bhp and 350Nm of torque. Both engines will be mostly be mated to a six-speed manual as was the case with the previous version.  We can also expect suspensions tweaks for sportier handling and more opportunities to do a little bit of sliding.

The sports version gets a sportier body; alloy wheels, boot mounted spoiler, revised suspension setup as well as different graphics scheme to differentiate it from the standard car. We expect that Skoda will launch the car either in Octavia or Laura form, a few months after its global debut.
