Skoda has revealed a Sport version of the European spec Rapid sedan at the Worthersee festival in Germany. Although this is only a concept, it is expected to make way for the future vRS models.
The Rapid Sport concept debuted in two-tone Red-Grey livery, with sporty ornaments for both exteriors and interiors. The concept features aggressive front bumper with a splitter, sporty side-skirting, flared wheel arches, 19-inch alloy-wheels, twin exhaust pipes and blacked-out headlamp and tail lamp console.
The sporty red theme continues inside accentuating the black interiors. The sedan also gets Recaro seats, illuminated door sills and sports steering. Skoda did not reveal technical details about the Rapid Sport – in fact the Czech car maker is yet to confirm a vRS version of the Rapid. So if you are looking for a next-gen performance car from Skoda, you will have to wait for the Octavia vRS that will debut in Europe this September.
