Skoda Octavia vRS 230 to debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show

Skoda is preparing to launch a rather special version of the Octavia vRS at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. Dubbed ‘the fastest series-produced Octavia of all time’, the new Octavia vRS 230 will share the show floor with the all-new Superb shown recently. 

The highlighting feature on the vRS 230 is the electronically controlled front axle differential lock. Offered for the first time in any Skoda, the front differential lock apparently offers better cornering capabilities. 

As for the ‘230’ designation, it relates to the special edition’s horsepower, which allows the car to accelerate from zero to 100kmph in 6.7 seconds. The top speed, meanwhile, is rated at 250kmph making the vRS 230 the fastest production Octavia till date.

Skoda has announced that the Octavia vRS 230 will be launched in the European market starting June this year.
