- Power-packed performance version
- Globally unveiled last year
Skoda India recently exhibited the Octavia RS at the Bharat Mobility Expo in Delhi. It is a high-performance version of the standard sedan, marking the return of the RS variant to India.
While the new Octavia RS gets subtle tweaks inside-out, it’s what's under the hood that matters the most. The 2025 iteration is powered by a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine that churns out more than 261bhp and 370Nm of torque. It is paired with a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission. This performance sedan sprints from 0 to 100kmph in just 6.6 seconds and has a top speed of 250kmph.
Also, given the RS suffix, this version of the Octavia rides 15mm lower than the standard Octavia. Moreover, it boasts an electronic limited-slip differential on the front axle and features a sports exhaust system with black tailpipes as standard. The original RS variant of the Octavia was discontinued in April 2023 due to new BS6 Phase 2 emission standards. Now, in 2025, this fourth-generation Octavia RS is expected to be launched in India soon as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) and in limited numbers, like its predecessors.
