- Will be showcased alongside the new Kodiaq and Superb
- Expected to be pavilion showstopper
Octavia RS
The new-generation Skoda Octavia will make its India debut at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo, but to ensure it arrives with a bang, the car will be showcased in the latest-generation Octavia RS guise. The automaker had confirmed during the unveiling of the Kylaq compact SUV that it would showcase the latest generation of its high-performance sedan as one of the highlights of its Bharat Mobility Expo pavilion.
This updated car sports the same design as the latest generation Octavia but with RS badging, wheels, and paint schemes. The cabin gets body-coloured accents and RS badging on the steering wheel, carbon fibre inserts in the dashboard, RS-specific upholstery, and RS graphics for the infotainment screen.
The Octavia RS’ party piece is its legendary 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine now tuned to produced 264bhp and 370Nm. The transmission duties for the Octavia RS will be handled by a seven-speed DSG and you get a 0-100kmph time of 6.4 seconds making this one of the fastest front-wheel drive cars globally.
The rest of the gang
The Octavia RS will be one of the showstoppers but is expected to jostle for space alongside Skoda’s other models that have all been confirmed for a launch in India over the course of CY2025. This includes the new Superb and new Kodiaq with a possible India debut for the Skoda Elroq.
