In the international market, Skoda has upgraded its range of eco-friendly CNG vehicles. The Skoda Octavia G-TEC is now powered by a new and more powerful 1.5-litre TSI engine that generates 128bhp of power. The vehicle is exclusively available in a Combi body style in Active, Ambition and Style trims. The company claims that it achieves a range of 480-kilometres in the eco-friendly CNG mode.
The new 1.5-litre engine in the Skoda Octavia G-TEC has an output of 128bhp of power, about 19bhp more powerful than its predecessor. The vehicle also complies with EU6d-TEMP, the most stringent current emission standard. The car switches to the petrol mode automatically once the CNG supply is run out and uses the 11.8-litre petrol in the additional tank. The new engine comes mated to a seven-speed DSG transmission.
The Skoda Connect online services for the G-TEC also includes the Emergency Call and Care Connect. The app also gives details to the driver about the remaining CNG, petrol and overall range.
