Skoda Octavia Corporate Edition launched in India at Rs 15.49 lakhs

Skoda has introduced the Octavia Corporate Edition in India for a price of Rs 15.49 lakhs (ex-showroom, India). Available in petrol and diesel engine options, the Octavia Corporate Edition is exclusively offered to the existing Skoda Auto customers. Moreover, this vehicle is available only in a candy white paint scheme. 

The Octavia Corporate Edition gets a chrome surround butterfly grille and Quadra headlamps with LED DRLs. It sits on 16-inch velorum alloy wheels that accentuate its dynamic appearance. As for the interior, the vehicle gets a brushed decor on the front centre console and door panels, a dual tone Onyx Ivory dashboard and stylish beige upholstery that claims to reflect the glorious Skoda history and design language.

In terms of features, it gets a 16.51 cm touchscreen central infotainment system that is equipped with SmartLink technology (Skoda Connectivity bundles supporting MirrorLink, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto) with smartphone mirroring for seamless connectivity. The two-zone Climatronic air conditioning system, with clean air function is fitted with a humidity sensor that reduces the windscreen misting. The vehicle further gets an illuminated and cooled glove box with a jumbo box storage compartment, housed in the front armrest to store your gadgets, house keys, books, and beverages.

The standard safety equipment in the Octavia Corporate Edition includes four airbags: dual front airbags and front side airbags. Additionally, the Corporate Edition includes a wide array of features, such as Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Break-force Distribution (EBD), Hydraulic Brake Assistant (HBA), Anti Slip Regulation (ASR), Motor Speed Regulation (MSR), Electronic Differential Lock (EDL), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Multi-Collision Braking (MKB).

Under the hood, the Skoda Corporate Edition is available with a 1.4-litre TSI petrol engine that generates 148bhp and 250Nm of torque. The petrol version is capable of sprinting from 0-100kmph in 8.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 219kmph. The turbocharged 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine generates 141bhp of power and achieves a maximum torque of 320Nm. The diesel version is capable of reaching a top speed of 218kmph while hitting the 100kmph mark in 8.4 seconds. Both the trims get the six-speed manual transmission as standard. Skoda claims that the petrol version returns a fuel efficiency of 16.7kmpl, while the diesel returns an average fuel economy of 21kmpl.
