Skoda India has launched the 4x2 for the Skoda Yeti. The 4x2 version gets the same 2.0-litre common rail engine, but the power output has been reduced to 110bhp from 140bhp, and even the gearbox has been changed to a 5-speed manual from a 6-speeder. The ARAI claimed mileage for the Yeti 4x2 is 17.72kmpl.
The Skoda Yeti is priced at the Rs 13.20 lakhs (ex-showrrom, Maharashtra). It will be available in Active and Ambition trim levels. The 4x2 version retains features like ESP and Hill-Descent control. The new entry-level Yeti will help the Czech-based automaker to do better sales volumes.
