Skoda had announced its entry into the sub-four-metre compact SUV segment with the new Kylaq. The carmaker created a lot of hype by announcing the car's starting price which was set at Rs. 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Till then, we had driven the camouflaged version, and now, here is the SUV in its full glory. This picture gallery details all the specifications of the Kylaq for which bookings will commence today and deliveries will start from 27 January, 2025.

Design-wise, the new Kylaq looks like a typical Skoda. It is based on the MQB-A0-IN platform like the Slavia and Kushaq, which is why it looks almost like a mini-Kushaq.
With a similar front fascia, the Kylaq features a split headlamp setup with DRLs on top and the main unit on the bumper. Moreover, it gets a de-chromed look and with clean and crisp lines all over.
That said, this top-spec Kylaq rides on 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. The compact SUV rides tall and has a ground clearance of 189mm.
The Kylaq features an independent front suspension and a torsion beam at the rear, which is again similar to the Kushaq. But then, the Kylaq is 38kg lighter.
On the braking front, the setup includes discs at the front and drums at the rear.
Inside, the Kylaq sports a dual-screen layout with an eight-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Its cabin also features a 446-litre boot and gets a wireless phone charger. Then, there is a Canton sound system, ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, and an electrically adjustable driver seat.
Some of the safety features of the Kylaq include six airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, ISOFIX, three-point seat belts, and headrests for all occupants.
Powertrain
The compact SUV is powered by Skoda's familiar 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 113bhp and 178Nm of torque. It comes mated to either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. Skoda claims the Kylaq can sprint from 0-100kmph in 10.5 seconds.
