-Variant-wise prices to be announced next month
Skoda Auto India raised the curtains on the Kylaq sub-four-metre SUV earlier today. The carmaker also revealed the price of the model’s entry-level version, starting at Rs. 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Let us now take a closer look at the important timelines of the latest offering from the Czech marquee.
Skoda has revealed that bookings of the new Kylaq will commence on 2 December, which is also when the automaker will announce the variant-wise prices of the car. This will be followed by the deliveries of the Tata Nexon rival, which is scheduled to commence on 27 January, 2025. Notably, the model will be showcased at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo as a public display.
The Kylaq is the third Skoda car to be based on the MQB-A0-IN platform which also underpins select Volkswagen siblings. This Mahindra XUV 3XO rival is powered by a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine generating 114bhp and 178Nm. Transmission options include six-speed manual and torque converter automatic gearboxes.
Notable highlights of the 2024 Skoda Kylaq include all-LED lighting, split headlamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, black roof rails, virtual cockpit, front seats with electric adjustment and ventilation, six airbags, connected car technology, and ambient lighting.
