- Variant-wise prices to be announced next month
Skoda Auto India raised the curtains on the Kylaq sub-four-metre SUV earlier today. The carmaker also revealed the price of the model’s entry-level version, starting at Rs. 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Let us now take a closer look at the important timelines of the latest offering from the Czech marquee.
Skoda has revealed that bookings of the new Kylaq will commence on 2 December, which is also when the automaker will announce the variant-wise prices of the car. This will be followed by the deliveries of the Tata Nexon-rival, which is scheduled to commence on 27 January, 2025. Notably, the model will be showcased at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo as a public display.
The Kylaq is the third Skoda car to be based on the MQB-A0-IN platform, which also underpins select Volkswagen siblings. This Mahindra XUV 3XO-rival is powered by a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine generating 114bhp and 178Nm. Transmission options include six-speed manual and torque converter automatic gearboxes.
Notable highlights of the 2024 Skoda Kylaq include all-LED lighting, split headlamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, black roof-rails, virtual cockpit, front seats with electric adjustment and ventilation, six airbags, connected car technology, and ambient lighting.
