Skoda India recently unveiled and announced the price of the new Kylaq SUV. This new sub-four-metre Tata Nexon-rival is priced at Rs. 7.89 lakh (starting ex-showroom), with the prices of all variants to be announced on 2 December. Now, post its launch, the interior images of the base variant of the Kylaq are out.
The Skoda Kylaq will be offered broadly in four variants, namely, Classic, Signature, Signature+, and Prestige. Coming to the features, the entry-level Classic variant will come equipped with 16-inch steel wheels, manual IRVM, power windows, push start/stop button, manual AC, rear AC vents, front centre armrest, adjustable headrests for all passengers, and six airbags.
However, compared to the top-spec version, the base variant will miss out on an infotainment screen, digital instrument panel, steering mounted controls, cruise control, auto-dimming IRVM, automatic climate control, powered and ventilated front seats, and an electric sunroof.
Mechanically, the Kylaq SUV comes equipped with a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine mated to a six-speed manual and an automatic torque converter unit. This motor is tuned to generate 114bhp and 178Nm of peak torque.
