Skoda has announced UK prices for the all-new Kodiaq ahead of its showroom debut early next year. The full-size luxury SUV will start from £21,495 (Rs 17.52 lakh) on-road and will be available in four trim levels, five engine options, two and four-wheel drive and a choice of manual or DSG gearboxes.
In all, 24 different variants will be on offer. The range includes three trims; S, SE and SE L along with a new celebration Edition grade. Starting with the entry-level S variant, the car gets LED daytime running lights, 17-inch alloy wheels, multifunction steering wheel and manual AC, keyless go and a touchscreen infotainment system as standard. Moving on to SE priced from £22,945 (Rs 18.82 lakh), you get 18-inch alloy wheels, cruise control and rear parking sensors, dual-zone climate control, rain and light sensors and auto-dimming rear view mirrors.
The top-spec SE L is priced at £28,595 (Rs 23.61 lakh) and comes with a generous specification list. Among the highlights are seven seats, powered tailgate, 19-inch alloy wheels, navigation system with WiFi, Drive Mode Select, alcantara upholstery, heated front seats and full LED headlights.
Topping the range from launch is a new Edition trim grade which starts from £30,695 (Rs 25.24 lakh). Standard equipment includes unique alloy wheels, leather upholstery, metallic paint and chrome roof rails. Technology features include Lane Assist, high beam assist, wireless charging and phone box, and blind spot detection.
The UK-spec Kodiaq can be had with a choice of five engines; three petrol and two diesel. Power outputs range from 125bhp to 190bhp, with customers able to choose between two or four-wheel drive and manual or DSG transmissions. All engines feature stop-start system and brake energy recovery.
Besides UK, the Kodiaq will be sold in a number of key markets including India wherein it will be sold as Skoda India’s flagship offering in the luxury SUV space.
