The Skoda Kodiaq Scout was launched in India yesterday, priced at Rs 33.99 lakhs (ex-showroom India). The Kodiaq Scout is positioned between the Style and L&K trims and is an off-road-spec variant of the Kodiaq. Besides the updated exteriors and interiors, it also gets a dedicated off-road-spec all-wheel-drive system.
The Skoda Kodiaq Scout features a redesigned front bumper, which gets a rugged-looking silver skid plate. Moreover, it gets an improved approach angle of 22.0 degrees. The butterfly grille gets a chrome garnish on its edges.
The Kodiaq Scout comes equipped with new 18-inch ‘Anthracite’ Trinity alloy wheels. These are machine-finished, and come shod with 235/55-section MRF Marcus tyres.
Furthermore, the Kodiaq Scout gets a silver finish on the ORVMs and on the roof rails.
The car gets a re-profiled rear bumper and it comes with a customary silver-finished skid plate. Compared to the regular version, the Kodiaq Scout gets an improved departure angle of 23.1 degrees.
The Kodiaq Scout comes with a Rough Road Package, which includes full underbody protection.
As far as interiors are concerned, the Kodiaq Scout comes with an all-black cabin. It gets a wood veneer on the dashboard along with a ‘Scout’ badge.
It gets all-black Alcantara leather seats with ‘Scout’ lettering on the seat-backs. The Kodiaq Scout gets a dedicated off-rode mode to tackle the tricky terrains.
Powering the Skoda Kodiaq Scout is a 2.0-litre turbocharged, four-cylinder diesel engine that is good for 148bhp and 340Nm. It is paired to a seven-speed DSG gearbox.
