The off-road iteration of the Kodiaq, the Kodiaq Scout is due for launch in India on 30 September. The Skoda Kodiaq Scout will offer higher ground clearance over the standard model, along with better approach and departure angles. Mechanically, the new variant will continue to be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 148bhp of power and 340Nm of torque. The seven-speed DSG transmission powers all four wheels.
The Skoda Kodiaq Scout is expected to get all-black interior as compared to the current dual-tone version. The Kodiaq Scout will additionally offer an off-road mode which enhances throttle response and adjusts dampers while driving through tricky terrains. The Kodiaq Scout variant will get 19-inch wheels along with chrome detailing on the grille, side window trims, roof rails and more. As for the interior, the vehicle will get the ‘Scout’ lettering on the seat backrest as well as the glove compartment.Â
The Skoda Kodiaq Scout will get all the bells and the whistles from the regular Kodiaq variants. Safety features will include multiple airbags, ESC, keyless entry, engine start/stop button and more. More details about the Skoda Kodiaq Scout will be known post its launch in India next week.
