- Sporty version of the Kodiaq SUV
- Joins the Octavia RS as the second sporty model in the Czech automaker’s line up
- Alcantera upholstery with contrast red stitching
- Likely to be India bound in 2019
Skoda has released images of the interiors of the Kodiaq RS ahead of its global unveil at the 2018 Paris Motor Show next month. A car that’s long been in pipeline, it will be the most expensive version of the Kodiaq and has already made its mark in the world of sporty SUVs thanks to a Nurburgring record at the hands of legendary driver Sabine Schmtiz.
This being Skoda, none of the practicality of the Kodiaq has been lost in making this a sporty SUV. You get all the bits and pieces of the standard car but now the whole cabin has been trimmed out in Alcantera and with red stitching everywhere including the front racing buckets. Added to this mix is a fully digital instrument cluster and light sprinkling of RS badges just so one doesn’t forget that this is an RS spec Kodiaq.
Reports suggest that this RS spec Kodiaq will get a 232bhp diesel motor, AWD and then some more to ensure you can tap out all the performance of the car when needed.
The Octavia RS has been a massive success in India and its sales figure should be more than enough to convince Skoda to bring the Kodiaq RS to India, probably in early 2019.
