Skoda has launched a new trim of their flagship SUV, the Skoda Kodiaq Laurin and Klement, at a price of Rs 35.99 lakhs, ex-showroom, India. This is the new top-of-the-line trim and adds more features to the Kodiaq.
To start with, the Kodiaq L&K will get a 360 camera for parking assistance along with the automatic parking assist function. The car also features the all-new state-of-the-art Anti-Theft alarm with interior monitoring, the acoustic warning signal for overrun speed, engine immobiliser with floating code system, dual-tone warning horn, rear view camera with washer, exterior mirror and rear windscreen defogger with timer, underbody protective cover, and rough road package. The car is further equipped with iBuzz Fatigue Alert which detects signs of fatigue in the driver and AFS (Adaptive Front light System).
One of the most prominent additions to the features list is the virtual cockpit and this is the only Skoda as of now to offer two display screens. The virtual cockpit is an LCD display for the instrument cluster that can be customised for different functions including the regular dials as well as navigation display. The touchscreen infotainment system continues its presence along with the digital voice enhancer and other features. it also gets chrome inserts on the piano black interior trims.
The 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine powers the Kodiaq and develops 148bhp of power and 340Nm of torque. It comes with an all-wheel drive and a seven-speed automatic gearbox as standard along with cruise control. Also, it is the only SUV in the segment to offer nine airbags.Â
