Skoda India to introduce SmartLink system with Octavia sedan

Skoda India will launch its latest model year Octavia sedan with its SmartLink system. The system makes use of MirroLink  technology to mirror the display of a smart device on the screen of the vehicle. This allows for easier access of applications, contacts and media. It can be used with both Android and Apple devices.
With more and more applications designed to make the driving experience easier and organised, the introduction of such a technology in cars only seemed inevitable. The system works when the phone is connected through a USB cable to the car and the MirrorLink mode is enabled. It will automatically mirror the phone’s display on the screen of the infotainment system.
At present, there are a limited number of applications that will work through the system but with expected growth in popularity, the number of applications is expected to increase.
