In an effort to provide hassle-free Skoda car ownership experience, Skoda Auto India has introduced the Shield Plus six-year warranty program. Designed under the ‘India 2.0’ project, it claims to maintain transparency with the customer and enhance the overall ownership experience with the brand. The Skoda Shield Plus program includes motor insurance, 24 x 7 road side assistance and an extended warranty. Skoda customers can avail benefits across the line-up that includes the Rapid, Octavia, Superb and the Kodiaq.
The Skoda insurance under the Skoda Shield Plus program, offers value for money and prompt personal service in the event of a claim. This includes first year of comprehensive insurance and three subsequent years of third party coverage. The program additionally offers 24x7 reliable roadside assistance to customers for the fifth and sixth year. If a Skoda vehicle is immobilized for any reason (including mechanical/electrical failure, flat/weak battery, flat tyre, fuel exhaustion, mislaid key, breakdown, and accident) a phone call to Skoda assistance will provide nationwide timely assistance. Furthermore, the warranty service now extends to the fifth and sixth year or 1,50,000 kilometres (whichever is earlier) from the date of purchase of a Skoda vehicle.
The Skoda Shield Plus is also available for existing customers whose vehicles are covered under the four year warranty program. Moreover, customers also have an option to purchase a four year service package for an additional cost.
