- First model to adopt Skoda’s new design language
- Max claimed range of 560km
The new Skoda Elroq is the Czech brand's first all-electric model in the all-important compact SUV category. This new model has been showcased at the ongoing Bharat Mobility Expo wherein Skoda India is also showcasing the all-new Kodiaq, Octavia RS and the Superb. Coming back to the Elroq, it is the electric alternative to the Karoq and offers list price parity with its ICE counterpart in many markets.
The Elroq offers a range of powertrain and battery options, with a maximum range of over 560km. It will go on sale in European markets from the first quarter of 2025. The all-wheel drive version will available at a later stage and overall the compact SUV is available with three different battery sizes and powertrains. Outputs start at 125 kW for the entry-level Elroq 50 model. The Elroq 85x features an additional motor on the front axle for all-wheel drive.
The Elroq 85 can achieve a maximum range of more than 560km on the WLTP cycle. Charging rates of up to 175 kW at DC fast-charging stations enable the 82kWh battery of the Elroq 85x and the rear-wheel-drive Elroq 85 to recharge from ten to 80 per cent in 28 minutes. The smaller batteries of the rear wheel-drive Elroq 50 and Elroq 60 can be charged even more quickly, in 25 minutes or less. Prices for the new Skoda Elroq start at around 33,000 euros across Europe.
