Czech automaker Skoda has produced and delivered one million vehicles this year and to celebrate the sales milestone, the brand recently hosted the ‘Million Celebration’ at the Skoda Museum in Czech Republic.
The 1 millionth vehicle produced this year – a Fabia 1.2 TSI, in moon white colour, rolled off the production line on December 10. The anniversary car was donated to the ‘Life for Children’ foundation, a charity which provides care and support for ill children in the Czech Republic.
In addition, the brand also welcomed the millionth Skoda customer of 2014 who ordered an Octavia Estate vRS in rally-green metallic. “Producing and delivering one million vehicles is a historical milestone that demonstrates the strength of the brand,” said Skoda CEO Prof. Dr. hc Winfried Vahland.
Skoda’s Indian line-up of vehicles includes the Rapid, the Octavia, the Superb and the Yeti. Looking to grab hold of a bigger share of the Indian market, the company is consistently expanding its dealer network and improving its after-sales service.
