Skoda has announced that it will unveil a new crossover as well as a coupe SUV version of the Kodiaq at the 2018 Beijing Auto Show that will take place at the start of next month. Both cars will first launch for the Chinese market before they make their way elsewhere over the course of 2019.
There are no details on the CUV but we know this much that it will slot in below Kodiaq in Skoda’s official line up. This CUV will be part of the larger scheme of the Czech automaker’s plan to introduce 19 SUVs in its official offerings by 2020.
The Kodiaq GT, as the name suggests, will be a coupe SUV addition to the Skoda SUV family. It’s expected to be priced higher than the standard Kodiaq but will make use of the same engines, underpinnings and obviously interiors too.
Of these two, we know what the Kodiaq GT will come to India but through the CBU route rather than the CKD route as used by the current car.
