Skoda has announced that they have produced more than one million cars in 2014 and sold 9,55,300 units globally by the end of November. They delivered 90,200 cars in November showing a growth of 10.1 per cent in comparison to their previous performance.
The Czech automaker had sold 9,20,800 vehicles in 2013 and showed a stellar performance by selling 34,500 cars more in the corresponding period this year. They also delivered 16,100 cars more than they could in 2012. The company says that this is the best November so far in the carmaker's corporate history and various campaigns have helped them reach this landmark.
Skoda achieved good sales numbers in all regions across the world, but the Chinese market helped boost the sales figures by showing a growth of 46.9 per cent. The company sold 26,800 cars in China in November 2014 in comparison to 18,200 units sold in the same month last year. The Octavia was the best performer with its sales increasing by 112.4 per cent.
Czech manufacturer Skoda Auto is a unit of Volkswagen and currently sells the Fabia, Rapid, Octavia, Yeti and the Superb in India. The company is working on extending their dealership network and improving their after-sales service to be able to cater to a larger section of consumers in our country. They also plan to enhance customer experience by taking new initiatives for existing Skoda car owners as well as prospective buyers.
