Known for supercharging Mustangs and turning them into complete track monsters, Shelby has taken the covers off its latest creation – the Mustang Super Snake. Based on the 2015 Mustang GT, this new high-performance model produces up to 750hp of power.
Shelby says it has made performance enhancements to the handling, braking and cooling of the Mustang GT. Additionally, it will be the first Shelby Super Snake to be offered with an automatic transmission.
The 2015 Mustang Super Snake features a 5-litre supercharged V8 paired to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. Shelby has added Ford Performance suspension components, a throaty Borla exhaust, WELD Racing 20-inch wheels shod with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres and 6-piston Wilwood brakes.
The options list, meanwhile, includes a more powerful supercharger, as well as a better performing intercooler and heat exchanger system, all designed to produce more than 750bhp on pump gas.
The 2015 Mustang Super Snake will be a rare model as Shelby has made it official that only 300 units of this high performance coupe will ever be made.
