- India launch in 2025
- Will also spawn an equivalent Nissan model
Renault will re-enter the three-row mid-size SUV market in 2025 as a part of its plans for India. Its budget brand, Dacia, will take the wraps off the production-ready version of the Bigster concept car next month at the 2024 Paris Motor Show.
This is in essence a three-row version of the new-generation Duster and sits above it and the Jogger MPV in their hierarchy. Spy images indicate a silhouette similar to that of the new-gen Duster but with the added length to accommodate the third row. The face is also slightly different to help separate it from the five-door model.
While it may be different from the two-row Duster on the outside, much of the cabin and feature list will be shared with it in a bid to optimise costs. The India-spec car is expected to be offered with at least two petrol engines and both will get MT and AT options.
Along with Renault, its alliance partner, Nissan, will also launch the same cars but with different top hats and interior styling. We expect the new-gen Duster and equivalent Nissan model to arrive first before the three-row models are launched in the latter half of 2025.
