Formula 1 fans would know about the rumoured Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari deal. Both parties have been tight-lipped about this development until now. Vettel, in an interview with a news channel, told them that he will drive for Ferrari next year.
In the first question the media house asked the Formula 1 driver, "Sebastian Vettel is", and the 27-year-old completed the sentence with the hand-written answer "A driver for Scuderia Ferrari".
However, Ferrari hasn’t confirmed this yet and during the presentation of the new Fiat 500X, the company’s new president Sergio Marchionne refused to comment about this development.
He said, "Will we (Ferrari) announce the future strategy at the Abu Dhabi grand prix?
"I don't know. It is important first to finish the last race. It was a tough year and Sunday at Interlagos was not a good day," he added.
It seems like the official announcement might come by the end of the last race this season. If we look back into history, Michael Schumacher joined Ferrari at a time when they were struggling badly, the case is pretty similar with Vettel as well. In these days of the V6 engines Ferrari is the only team that isn’t struggling with reliability issues. However, they are struggling to find pace and that’s what they need to work on as a team before the start of next season.
