- EV to arrive on 7 August, ICE model to follow
- To get 1.2-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines
Recently we brought you the first real-world images of the ICE Tata Curvv and today we have got you exclusive details of the tech and features that will be offered on the upcoming Coupe SUV. The EV will arrive on 7 August while the ICE version is slated for a launch closer to the first week of September.
Interior highlights
The Curvv in its top-spec versions will get leatherette upholstery and leather wrap for the steering wheel. In addition, it will also get Tata’s smart digital shifter for the AT versions while the manual models will be fitted with a conventional gear lever. As expected, it will also have the automaker’s latest two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo. This car will also get a panoramic sunroof with mood lighting and voice assistance in multiple languages. The rear seats will split fold at 60:40, and our sources indicate that a power tailgate will be available.
Technology highlights
The biggest technology highlight for the Curvv will be a 12.30-inch display for the infotainment system and a 10.25-inch unit for the instrument cluster. This is in line with what is offered on both the Harrier and the Safari. The former gets wireless phone mirroring, a 360-degree camera and a sourced eight-speaker sound system. We already know that the Curvv will get ambient lighting and level-2 ADAS with a blind spot monitor as a part of the package.
Powertrain options
The Tata Curvv will debut the Indian automaker’s new 1.2-litre GDi turbo petrol engine producing 123bhp and 225Nm. This engine is expected to be offered with the automaker’s six-speed MT or a seven-speed DCT. A diesel was confirmed earlier this year and will be Tata’s 1.5-litre unit producing 113bhp and 260Nm. A six-speed MT has been confirmed but we also expect a six-speed AT to be offered.
