Scoop: Renault silently launches RxE diesel variant of Scala sedan for Rs 8.29 lakh

Renault India has silently launched a base diesel RxE variant of its Scala Sedan for Rs 8.29 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).  Although Renault India has not updated the features on its official website but we believe that the RxE diesel has the trim level and features as the base RxE petrol. It is Rs 50, 000 lesser than the mid-level RxL diesel variant. 

The RxE variant as compared to RxL variant gets only one airbag, AC, vanity mirror only for the passenger, no rear defogger, pockets only in the front doors, internally adjustable mirrors and wheel caps in place of alloy wheels. 

The RxE diesel will be powered by the same 1.5-litre k9K diesel mill that sits in the RxL and RxZ variants. It produces 85PS and 200Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via five-speed manual gearbox.
